Conservative Friends

of Armenia

A volunteer-run, nonprofit parliamentary group founded in 2025 dedicated to promoting the Conservative Party and strengthening the bonds between the United Kingdom, the Republic of Armenia, and the British Armenian community.

A New Chapter in UK–Armenia Relations

The Conservative Friends of Armenia was established in 2025 with a clear and enduring purpose: to build a lasting bridge between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Armenia, grounded in shared democratic values and mutual respect.

As a volunteer-run nonprofit, we are driven by genuine conviction — not institutional inertia. Our members are parliamentarians, activists, business leaders, academics, and members of the British Armenian community who believe that Armenia's future and the UK's global role are best served by a close, principled partnership.

We work across Westminster and beyond — convening debates, hosting delegations, and advocating for policies that reflect our commitment to sovereignty, democracy, and open societies.

Our Core Values

Partnership

We believe that enduring international relationships are built on genuine mutual respect — not transactional diplomacy. Our work is rooted in a long-term commitment to the Armenian people and their democratic aspirations.

Conservative Principles

We promote the values of the Conservative Party — free markets, rule of law, democratic governance, and individual liberty — as the foundation for a strong and prosperous UK–Armenia partnership.

Democratic Solidarity

Armenia's democratic journey deserves the active support of its friends in Westminster. We advocate for principled UK engagement that reinforces Armenia's constitutional order and institutional resilience.

Partnership

The British Armenian community is a vital bridge between our two nations. We amplify their voice in Parliament and ensure their perspectives shape UK policy toward Armenia and the South Caucasus.

Open Dialogue

The We create spaces for honest, informed debate on political, social, and economic questions — bringing together politicians, policymakers, academics, and civil society in the pursuit of better policy.

Voluntary Spirit

As a nonprofit, volunteer-run organisation, everything we do is driven by genuine passion for the cause. Our independence is our strength — we speak freely, advocate boldly, and serve no interest but the truth.

Meet the Team

  • "Armenia's democratic future is not just a matter of regional importance — it is a cause that aligns with every principle British conservatism holds dear."

Our Initiatives & Events

We have a series of exciting events and programmes planned — each designed to deepen ties, advance policy, and bring the right people into conversation.

  • We organise delegations of Conservative parliamentarians to visit Armenia — meeting government officials, civil society leaders, and business figures to build first-hand understanding of the country's priorities and democratic progress.

  • CFoA attends the annual Conservative Party Conference, hosting fringe events and panel discussions that put Armenia on the agenda of British domestic politics — connecting our cause with the heart of the Conservative movement.

  • We host receptions and roundtable forums on the political, social, and economic issues that matter most — bringing together leading politicians, policymakers, and academics from both the UK and Armenia for substantive dialogue.
